MANUFACTURING PROCESSES by Myron L. Begeman, professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Texas, is considered a classic in its field. It has been reprinted many times. This copy appears to be a first edition, with a copyright of 1942. We see no other copies this old at any of the online booksellers. The book was published by John Wiley & Sons in New York and Chapman & Hall Ltd. in London.

The book is in very good - near-fine - condition. It's tight and square, and clean inside and out. The black cover boards  are clean and good, with very mild rubbing at tail and tip of spine. Inside, the book has an elaborate and quite lovely black-and-white bookplate on the inside front cover (see photo). But it's left empty and the original owner instead inscribed his name and hometown in black ink on the page opposite the title page. Otherwise, we see no marks of any kind or other flaws on the inside pages. The paper has held up well and remains pretty white.
