Function. Use compressed gas, contained in a cylinder and compressed by a piston, to exert a force to support the weight of front hood while it is open, no need to hold the door up with your hands.

Moderate Installation. It is a moderate installation with some drilling. A drill bit is included in the hardware. You need to prepare a drill and drill the mounting hole in the proper position according to the instruction. Then assemble the lift rods with mounting brackets. It should only take about 40 minutes or less to get it down.
