Jorge Braulio Rodríguez Quintana. Cuban writer, painter,
and poet. Dean of the Faculty of Plastic Arts and the Faculty of Visual Arts of
the University of the Arts (ISA), since July 2009, member of the homonymous
project Diletante. Jorge Rodríguez graduated as a painter in 1972 at the
National School of Art in Havana, (ENA) and with a degree in Art History from
the University of Havana in 1978. He has developed an artistic career parallel
to his teaching profession. He has obtained various distinctions such as; Medal
of the City of Tournon-en-Brie, France, (1987), Distinction for Cuban Education,
(1988), Mention. II International Haiku Contest. Albacete, Spain (2007), among
others. He has a mastery of engraving and painting techniques, as well as
curatorial concepts for exhibition projects.
