About
A well toned remarkable watercolor, gouache and ink painting, depicting a composition of a butterflies in landscape in a formation resembling a flower. Dali held butterflies in high regard and created many art pieces highlighting the fascinating insect. To him, it represented metamorphoses of man and art. Dali was fascinated by the enormous amount of variety, colours and lightness of the butterfly.
The measurements of the painting are: 24.9 x 19.9 cm. The artwork is signed Dali, in the lower left of the artwork and on verso. The artwork is also marked and stamped on verso. With this artwork we will provide a letter of transfer of ownership to the new owner, a COA which came with the artwork, a registration certificate with National Fine Arts Title Registry and a transfer of registry certificate to the new owner. The artwork is offered and documented as-is, as in manner of the artist. This work is was acquired in the Parisian antique market few years back. The condition of the artwork is as pictured, in our opinion the artwork is in good condition for its age, we notice aging of the paper.
