Authentic, Original, Arcade-used (complete with cigarette burns) Donkey Kong (1981) Control Panel Overlay (CPO) signed and doodled on by voice of Mario, Charles Martinet. The Donkey Kong arcade game was where Mario made his first appearance in 1981. The control panel is the part of the arcade game that contains the joystick and buttons. The CPO is made of plexiglass and attached to the top of the control panel. The old, original version of Mario can be seen only on the Donkey Kong arcade cabinet: on the marquee, bezel, CPO and side decals. When Donkey Kong Jr came out a year later, the cabinet reflected the modern version of Mario.

Charles Martinet has been the video game voice of Mario since Mario got a voice in video games in the 1990s. He also voices Luigi, Waluigi, and Wario, among others. Until Martinet came along, Mario's accent was a deep Brooklyn accent in the tv shows and 1993 movie. Martinet, at his audition for the role, decided to try a soft Italian accent instead. He felt that was a more appropriate voice for a character that was to appeal to children. And this has been the voice of Mario ever since!

The Control Panel has Mario's signature phrases, "Woo Hoo!!!" and "Letsa Go!!!", in addition to Martinet's fun Mario-moustache signature. It has been authenticated by JSA and comes with a JSA Certificate of Authenticity as well as a matching certification sticker on the face of the control panel. However, the photos and video provided in the listing are the best proof that this was actually signed by this legend of video games!
