WOW! If I could ever find another example to compare to I would have a better idea how to value these precious pieces of New York Baseball memorabilia. These are the 11" x 17" NEWS Hi-Lites poster mailings which came mail folded to approx 4" x 9" and were published by Timely Events, Inc. The Daily Picture Newspaper of Chicago which was founded in 1936. The great pieces you have pictured here are the Oct. 24, 1960 Vol. No. 25 which features a grouping of UPI photo highlights of the Yankees / Pirates 1960 World Series. THe other is the ever classic and loved New York Mets manager Casey Stengel sporting an ice pack on his head which is Vol. 27, No. 213 from July 12, 1963 during the 8th inning of a tied Mets / Cubs summer ballgame. Although the Baseball posters are the real feature, there are bullet points of some other serious news events including Pope Paul VI receiving the pontiff position, news of Cuban exiles, bomb blast in New York, and Khrushchev. As I stated, it is hard for me to value what I have never seen available before, so I will place a price and use my typical "Best Offer" format which always included free shipping and a charity donation.
