PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR FURTHER IMAGES

Meccano Magazine was a classic magazine for boys that ran for decades and covered not only Meccano model making but also had a wide variety of other non-fiction articles. Aside from Meccano-related articles, it also featured Hornby trains, Dinky Toys and other products made by Meccano, plus a wide variety of general interest articles, including engineering, aircraft, trains, modelling, camping, photography and philately. Additionally, the adverts are wonderful!

In this issue:
  • Cover Picture - Braniff International Airways
  • Meccano Model - Railway Service Crane
  • Scenic Grandeur on Scottish Railways
  • Where Did Caesar Cross the Thames?
  • The World’s Most Famous Play - the Passion Play
  • First of the Big Jets - Boeing 707
  • Space Notes - US Has Lunar Timetable - NASA Ten-Year Programme
  • Practice Count-Down on a Missile Site
  • Britain’s Cliff Lifts
  • Family’s 160-year link with river ferry - Higher Ferry across the River Dee - Manifold Family

The magazine measures 20 x 14 cm and has around 56 pages, plus additional advertising pages

Condition: Very Good - there is some creasing / wear to the covers, the pages are lightly tanned with age & the staples have rusted and there’s a bit of writing on the stamp collecting page. The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you'd like to see further pictures, or any questions - just ask!
