PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR FURTHER IMAGES

Meccano Magazine was a classic magazine for boys that ran for decades and covered not only Meccano model making but also had a wide variety of other non-fiction articles focusing on engineering, trains, planes and automobiles. These Pre-War issues are particularly interesting. Additionally, the adverts are wonderful!

In this issue:
  • Cover Picture - The Marsh Monster
  • Electricity Meters
  • GWR Automatic Train Control
  • The Marsh Buggy - Mr Abbot Lane, Gulf Research and Development Co
  • The Chinese National Railway
  • Sir Nigel Gresley - LNER Chief Mechanical Engineer
  • Floating Crane on Manchester Ship Canal
  • The Motorship Leinster - Liverpool-Belfast Service
  • The New Mauretania - Cunard White Star Liner
  • Britain Retains World Altitude Record - Bristol 138a Monoplane - M. J. Adam
  • Remaking the Tennessee Valley - Wilson Dam, Wheeler Dam, Norris Dam
  • Bristol Blenheim Bombers for the RAF
  • Savoia-Marchetti Air Liners - S-66, S-84
  • Southward Ho in France - La Flèche d'Or

Pages 65 - 128 plus additional advertising pages

The magazine measures 28 x 21 cm

Condition: Good - the magazine is in good vintage condition, the staples have rusted. There is evidence of reading wear, creasing to the covers and the magazine is slightly tatty - visible in the pictures below. Considering the magazine is over 85 years old, its condition is good but certainly not perfect. The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you'd like to see further pictures, or any questions - just ask!
