Arabia White Ceramic Double Egg Cups MCM Vintage from Finland ~ Set of 4

Description: The larger upper bowl is intended for a soft-boiled egg that is shelled and then eaten. Toast, bacon or ham is often added. A boiled egg still in its shell is placed in the smaller lower section. The tip is sliced off, and then the egg is consumed directly from the shell. Egg cups carefully cradle an egg, holding it in place for easier eating with less mess. Eggs have played a starring role in food culture since the dawn of time, and the use of egg cups dates back to the 18th century BC.

Capacity: 1 egg either end i.e.,
Condition: Two of the four are MINT, one has a tiny blue shadow under the glaze (last image), while the last one is consistently crazed inside and out. The set value has been discounted to compensate. That said, there are NO chips, cracks, fleabites, scratches, scuffs, stains, discoloration, repairs or any other cosmetic / structural issues. Even the kiln feet which are the first indication of prolonged display / use remain factory fresh. The black bottomstamps are crisp, legible and certify: "Made in Finland".
