Dolle's engraving of Faithorne's portrait of Milton, complete, bound in full red morocco, ribbed gilt decorated spine, covers triple ruled in gilt, gilt dentelles, all edges gilt, bu Riviere, minor damp stain to lower right corner to last 1/3 of textblock not affecting text otherwise internally clean and bright, upper hinges just starting, overall a VERY GOOD copy.

In this edition three new lines were added to the beginning of Book VIII, and five to Book XII.
