Un-pinning and removing the center swivel cup and replacing with this custom fitted adapter allows a perfect match to the pinch weld jacking points of ALL Lexus-Toyota unibody vehicles with pinch welds but NOT TNGA based models..
Using the original steel top of the trolley jack risks crimping the pinch welds of having the jack slip out of place resulting in possible ugly underbody damage.
The adapter closely matches the top of the OEM supplied jack included with most LEXUS and TOYOTA vehicles.
The lifting pad behind the pinch weld is supported by a nearly indestructible UHMW (ultra molecular weight polyethylene) adapter block. UHMW-PE common trade name is "Spectra." It is often used as bullet proof vests and military helmets and high strength fishing line.
The block is retained in its position by a 6061-T6 aluminum angle and sits on a Delrin disk used extensively for weight bearing application on industrial production lines.
The adapter is held together with a custom high strength steel post that is threaded and locked into the threaded aluminum disk and Delrin bushing. The post is cross drilled to receive the matching "hair pin" retaining clip.
Installation is absolutely easy. Just unpin the rotating steel cup and replace it with this adapter.
