This is a magnificent 19th century carriage with horses made of 800 continental enameled silver containing emerald, garnet, coral and pearl with green beryls on an ebonized wooden base.

It comes originally from Christie's auction house in New York, Enamels and objects of virtue, March 14, 1978 lot # 52.

It has a wonderful detail, design and workmanship. In mint condition for its age.

The base measures 14.25" x 4.40" x 1.2" tall. The actual carriage with two horses measures 13" x 4" and 4.75" tall. The total height 6" tall including wooden base.

Two sides of the carriage can open and close. It has a very nice interior.
