Copper is the elemental substance of copper, named for its purple color. It is industrial pure copper with a melting point of 1083°C, no allotropic transformation, and a relative density of 8.9 (g/cm3) five times that of magnesium. The mass of the same volume is about 15% heavier than ordinary steel. It is generally called red copper because of its rose red color and purple color after the oxide film is formed on the surface. 

Due to high purity, fine structure and low oxygen content, the surface of the electro-etched mold has a high surface finish. 

This grade of material refers to coppers of 99.9% purity and is used in a wide range of engineering applications.

After Silver, Copper is the next best material used for conducting electricity. Since it also has a high thermal conductivity, this material is a good choice for use in conductor and electrical applications. Copper also has good mechanical properties in terms of toughness, ductility, impact strength and is also malleable.
