When I came across this one - yeah the Dust cap was gone - Fixed.

Catch your eye - does the 1st picture looks a bit radioactive?
Wow, this is chunky at 5 pounds 4 ounces - maybe 42 Oz in just the Magnet
Seems like a useful Woofer.. Yet, is it a winner?

When I heard it,  Wow. this Thumper sounds surprisingly good... but Why?
Here is what was revealed:  This one has life left...

1)  rare Power Boosted TOTL in the Series still performs well after 3 decades.
IMHO it was really well built; Its life was used to fix a 3-way speaker cabinet
See last picture herein - an ...Early Infinity Midrange, and classic Matsushita
"white eye" tweeter - you can see in another solar_home ad:  EAS-9KH05S 9cm Tweeter

2)  Cone is a light stiff black Polypropylene, Foam Roll is rubberized, both fully intact.

3)  The rated Frequency Response is 30 to 2000Hz  (Audio magazine 1987)
Yes that is a low 30Hz... rating <-- today its typically 40Hz for a 10"  Go check...

4)  Power rating of this is 160 Watts <--- That is pretty Formidable! (In rms)
     Peak power is probably ~300s

5)  Aluminum Voice coil is 1.5" (AL, best for heat dissipation)  5 vent holes

6)  Woofer is fairly deep at 5" for a 10" driver - a full 2:1 ratio

7)  Magnet Diameter is 4-7/8" (almost 5")  <--- BIG

8)  Magnet Depth is 1-1/4" <--- BIG

9)  Dust cap ridge is 3.0"

Thus - that rated 30Hz low end is Real; I heard these 1-9) factors ensemble.
Might fix your 10" setup or as a Get'up Truck or Car Sub...on 100 to 200 Watt Amp.
