Launched in Japan in 1975, the Technics SP-10 MKII turntable represented the "golden age" of quality. Equipped with a quartz-lock speed control, it was installed in many professional settings such as studios and broadcast rooms, where the highest quality turntable was demanded. A neon tube stroboscope is provided for speed feedback. A crystal oscillator is used for phase control, and with a rotational speed deviation of ±0.002% and a cumulative error of less than 0.025% WRMS (JIS C5521) after playing 30 records, the SP-10 MK2 has received rave reviews and phenomenal reviews since its release. With a minute speed of ±0.036 seconds, the SP-10 MK2 exceeded human detection limits and continued to receive such accolades over the next several years, resulting in the SP-10 MK2's outstanding sound and exceptional build quality, which critics commonly describe as its winning characteristics. The SME 3009 tonearm is a highly regarded design known for its accurate tracking and excellent sound quality. It features a lightweight, rigid aluminum tube, precision bearings, an adjustable counterweight, and an anti-skating mechanism. The headshells are interchangeable and cartridges can be easily replaced. This tonearm makes a great match for the Technics SP-10 MKII.

This SP-10 MKII comes with an SH-10E power supply. And it is a great match for this SP-10 MK2!

This turntable is in very good condition but shows signs of age and use, including some scratches, scuffs, and spots (Please see photos) The top surface of the SH-10E is rusting (Please see photos). It has been tested by our expert technicians and is in perfect working order. All settings work perfectly and the platters rotate consistently.
