First the standard sales literature that applies to all our telephone sales
Before I tell you about this wonderful telephone just a quick note about ourselves...
We have been buying/selling/restoring and collecting all manner of Antique Telephones for well over 25 years now, this being my husbands part of the business ~ DEJA VU ANTIQUES ~ you may have seen our advert in Period Living Magazine from which we have run a successful telephone mail order business from their first issue back in 1990..... which really began as an extension of our Antiques Shop and as our own personal collection of antique telephones grew far too large !!
We have a large portfolio of happy customers to include may celebrities such as a Spice Girl (who will remain un-named) historic hotel renovations, supply the BBC, ITV, major Theatre groups have supplied the telephone for the Anadin advert and all the telephones for the Bletchley Park War Museum so please buy with confidence
THE RESTORATION
All restoration work is done by ourselves in our onsite workshop and has been for the past 20 years.... each one being completely stripped down and renovated part by part then put back together and lovingly restored back to its former glory, converted for modern day usage and finished with a visit to our onsite polishing-shop where the grime of decades is removed and the bakelite brought back to the condition it would have been when originally installed into someones home all those years ago !!!
Please note all our photographs are genuine and show the natural restored sheen of bakelite and unlike others they have not been sprayed with artificial silicone which gives an un-natural wet look
All original microphones are tried and tested and if in full working order are left in situ as there is no need to change, however if it does not meet our rigorous standards it will be replaced.......all have a bell resistor fitted giving a 1 ren value ...
All come complete with modern BT plug with black lead to enable you to plug in and away you go...... we have a house full of these old telephones which are used on a daily basis and no telephone leaves here if it is not in a condition I would be happy to have in my own home....so please do buy with confidence !!

MODEL ~ GPO CALL EXCHANGE BAKELITE TELEPHONE DATING FROM 1950's
In the "good old days" when there wasn't enough telephone lines to go round you may have had to "share" a line with your neighbour and the "call exchange " button was used in this instance...ofcourse out of function today but makes a nice feature on a vintage telephone !!
Prior to our "throw away" society these wonderful telephones were repaired and refurbished and put into someone elses home ~ a lesson in recycling we could do with taking heed of today....

DIAL ~ superb condition ALPHA-NUMERICAL CHROME DIAL with numbers in red and letters in black.....used prior to the numerical exchange numbers we have today eg the code to dial for a Redditch number in 1960 would have been RE9 then the persons number ...

Whilst every effort is made to send items within a few days of cleared payment we also run a busy vintage & interiors business so during our busy spells a little more time may be needed ~ therefore ~ please allow upwards of a week or so during busy periods and School holidays etc.....IF YOU NEED YOUR ITEM IN A HURRY PLEASE EMAIL...IF WE DONT KNOW WE CANT HELP and we will always do our best to get your item out on time....
All items are extremely well packed in recycled materials where possible.
We cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged within the postal system,if you wish to insure your item please advise at point of sale, however, we always obtain proof of posting and will assist in any such claims
Most items are quoted for 1st class delivery but if you have any particular delivery requirements such as special delivery/recorded delivery etc please request at time of purchase as this must be charged as an extra
Terms of Sale
All items to be paid in full as per payment details before any items will be despatched.....all cheques must have cleared the banking system and please note it takes SEVEN FULL WORKING DAYS for a cheque to legally clear the system also please note before sending a cheque that we live quite rural and cannot make daily trips to the bank therefore if needing an item quickly I would suggest you use paypal or postal order although a crossed postal order must also clear the banking system as if a cheque.....
We do not offer refunds simply because you have changed your mind about the purchase, if you have a damaged or faulty item please email upon receipt wherby we will be pleased to address your concerns.....postage on any accepted returns to be met by purchaser(
