Murder Most Foul

After the murder of a barmaid and former actress, called Mrs. McGinty, our heroine auditions for a part with the local repertory company.

The manager, Mr Cosgood, is unimpressed by her acting ability, but takes her on, because he is hoping that she might help to finance his theatre company.

Miss Marple suspects that McGinty was killed, because she was trying to blackmail one of the actors.

And her suspicions are soon confirmed, when two more members of the cast fall prey to the same murderer . . .
