Graded figure still has the protective plastic on it provided by AFA.  As most people know older Kenner Starting Lineup figures in good condition are rare and grading fees are not cheap.   I pay the extra UV protection fee on all of my graded Action Figures.    Graded pieces provide a great piece of mind for the exact condition of your older action figures.
