SET OF 6 X FLUORESCENT COLOURED BUNGS/STRIKE INDICATORS WITH STOPPERS
Love it or hate it, fishing with a bung/strike indicator can be really successful, especially during the winter months or hot summer months when fish are less inclined to chase a fly but will readily take it dead drifted or totally static.
These bungs/strike indicators offer the following features :-
Aerodynamic round shape and light weight for easier casting.
Each set Includes a range of 3 x fluorescent yellow & 3 x fluorescent red bungs/strike indicators so you can choose which colour to use to best suit the light conditions - also included are a set of small stoppers and cocktail sticks.
Adjustable design to slide up or down the leader and set in position with the included stoppers or cocktail sticks - easily adjust fly depth.
Approx.18mm in diameter so are capable of holding up a team of flies or weighted flies, or if you want to fish heavier flies still then just put two bungs on - end on end sandwiched between stoppers!
Has a 1mm central hole for threading the line through.
Simply thread one of the included stoppers onto the line then the bung followed by another stopper, set the position and you're ready to go, alternatively if preferred you can thread the bung onto the line and then keep it in place with half of one of the provided cocktail sticks, although this method makes the central hole in the bung a bit wider it is easier to re-use and set up.
With either method the bung can be moved to adjust the depth of your flies.
Probably the best way to use them is to set up a permanent pre-tied rig(stored on a foam rig winder) on for example a length of say 6ft of 12lb fluorocarbon or nylon with a small tippet ring on the end for adjoining your fly leader, the bung can then be adjusted to anywhere on that 6ft length.
