Up for sale is a TERRIFIC Tele style electric guitar from Leo Jaymz ... the RST-031 !
Man, where to start with this work of art !
I guess the thing that really struck us and made me want to stock this in our inventory was the beauty of this instrument !
The Rosewood and Mahogany "US Flag theme" veneer top with clear pickguard and 6mm abalone dot inlays on the fretboard is just striking !
And it's even better in person !
I don't know if the paint job is 100% perfect, so you "fit and finish" people might want to examine the pictures carefully, including using ebay's picture zoom and enlarge features. I haven't found anything glaring as far as imperfections. But c'mon, it's a brand new T-style guitar that's not even $500 bucks, which is the MINIMUM of what you will pay for a stock, run of the mill, new made in Mexico Fender Telecaster in most likely a relatively bland color ! This guitar, with it's solid feeling mahogany body, rivals (or even exceeds in many cases) their sound and playability ! For less money, plus you get a more custom and unique guitar!
For example, the alnico pickups sound great in both neck and bridge positions. And with the 3 way pickup selector switch, you also have a third, middle position that blends the twang of the bridge, with the smoothness of the neck to give you a distinctive mid range "quack" to add to your repertoire of sounds at your disposal!
The very responsive volume and tone controls, with their CTS and Alpha full size pots, give you even more tonal variety available with this one sonic machine! The volume knob allows you to clean up your signal when turned down, even when your amp is overdriven and/or at the verge of breakup, just like a good guitar should !
The guitar is a pleasure to play, as well ! The one-piece flame maple neck with jumbo frets is about a medium size / width. But it's not too thick for my smaller man hands! Makes for a really enjoyable pluckin, strummin', chicken pickin and a grinnin' time ! Great action and intonation out of the box that required minimal tweaking from us. Add to the good intonation a bull's bone nut and Mings vintage tuners, and you've got an axe with solid tuning stability! We left it overnight in tune, picked it back up in the morning, and it wasn't too far off from where it was ! Will be even better when the brand new EXL-120 nickel wound super light strings are stretched out properly.
Well, what else can be said?
Before shipping, we will clean/buff the body and neck of the guitar with Dunlop polish. Strings will be cleaned with string cleaner, even though they are in brand new. And the fretboard will be conditioned with the same Dunlop polish, as it is made out of maple.......So the lucky buyer can just plug her in and start rockin' out !!!!!
So grab this hard to find gem before someone else snags it first ! Have the most unique guitar in your city, maybe even your State !
