    What is an A/C Compressor Clutch?
      The air Compressor Clutch is designed to connect the rotor pulley to the compressor input shaft when the air comditioner is turned on and the coil is energised. If the magnetic clutch has failed and the hub doesn't pull inwards when the clutch is turned on the compressor shaft will not rotate, and the refigerant will not circulate through the air comditioning system. Very often it is the magnetic Clutch that will fail on a compressor. A new A/C clutch assembly can cost up to 75% less than the price of a new compressor.

    How to Replace an A/C Compressor Clutch?

    1. Removal of Hub/Armature Assembly.
    2. Removal of Rotor/Pulley Assembly and Field Coil Assembly.
    3. Install the new clutch on compressor in reverse order.
