The leather straps are supple and complete. The leather strap that holds the lid is maker marked 'S.S.L.43' ('Sieper & Sohne' from 'Lüdenscheid'.) and dated '1943'. The alluminium bottle is in good condition and also marked 'S.S.L.43'. The feltcover is in used but good condition. Its complete with 4 buttons and also marked 'S.S.L.43' on the inside (vague to read though)

The Bakelite lid is marked on top. It has a small crack (fixed with black tape) but is solid. The bakelite cup has no damages and is in good condition. It's marked and dated '1943' on top.

Overall a very nice 1 Liter canteen.
