PICTUREGOER MAGAZINE
Week Ending November 13th 1943
Picturegoer was a British magazine for film fans with wonderful cover pictures that not only informed the readers about films that were newly released but also carried articles about the stars and their lives. There are lots of photos (b&w) in the magazines. Plus the advertisements are great!
These war-time issues are particularly interesting with their edge of propaganda and advertisements for frugalness…
In this issue:
- Cover: Rosamund John
- The Lamp Still Burns - Rosamund John, John Laurie, Sophie Stewart, Joan Maude, Cathleen Nesbitt, Margaret Vyner, Stewart Granger
- Greer Garson
- A Canterbury Tale - Michael Powell, Dennis Price, Sheila Sim, Eric Portman, John Sweet
- Holy Matrimony - Monty Woolley, Gracie Fields, Laird Cregar
- Preston Foster
- Heaven Can Wait
The magazine has 16 pages
Very Good: The magazine is in very good vintage condition, showing light reading wear, some light tanning to the pages due to age, and minor creasing to the covers. The staple has rusted. The magazine pictured is the one you will receive. Given the magazine is over 75 years old its condition is very good, but not perfect!
I accept returns, and if you have any questions - just ask!
