For sale is a set of replacement Generator Brushes, PPP brand, part # RP51. According to the box, these replace part # 1878209. The box states these will fit:
1940 - 1942 Buick
1940 - 1942 Oldsmobile
1940 - 1942 Chevrolet
1940 - 1942 Pontiac
1941 - 1942 Nash
1941 - 1942 Packard
...and others.
My guess is these are from 1942 and will most likely fit many other later models. These are New Old Stock, made in USA parts.
