ESTATE FIND....Vintage Obear-Nester "Barrel of Beer" Brown Glass 12 oz BottleGlass trademark on bottom of "N in a box". Used in very good condition.Obear-Nester Glass Company was located in East St. Louis, Illinois, closing in 1978.The "N in a square" trademark was used on machine-made bottles from approximately 1915 up to their glass plant closing in 1978, per Julian Toulouse ( Bottle Makers and their Marks , 1971) who wrote that the "N in a square" mark dated from 1915 and was used only on machine-made bottles.This is, by far, the most common mark seen on glass containers made by Obear-Nester Glass Company.Measures 5.25" tall
