In 1770 to the present day, embracing the American War of Independence, the Napoleonic Wars,

The great era of expansion and development during the 19th century, 

The transition from sail to steam and the company's fortunes during the First and Second World Wars.

The reproductions, both in colour and monochrome, which illustrate the story, 

Appeared in the two-volume history of the company.
