These antique trunks can be used for excellent storage while at the same time used as a coffee/side table in front of a sofa or to the side of a chair, all whilst giving your room added character.

This box is truly stunning, it is guaranteed,

My research has confirmed it to have been made out of pine, using a traditional through cut dovetail construction method.

The timber that has been used for this box's body is Quebec yellow pine, with beautiful figure, it also has its original all round moulded plinth and original solid oak square edged top construction.

This chest still has its original painted finish which is a rich dark green colour that has polished to a wonderful shine. It comes with the original solid cast brass butt hinges and solid wrought iron side handles. The interior still retains the original lidded candle tray and two dovetailed draws. All this has now been polished with bees wax and locked in the years of use to reveal the most amazing character. The front has the original owners solid brass name plate and solid brass key liner.

This chest is in fabulous condition, the interior is like all the boxes we sell, clean and tidy with some age related marks and signs of old woodworm holes.

This old chest still has the original brass key liner and steel lock (no longer working)

A large chest that I'm sure could tell a story or two, the years of use have really added to this box's character, which have developed into a fabulous rich all over weathered look.

The rest of the box has been fully restored and has been polished using traditional bees wax.

This is a truly stunning and wonderful quality piece of furniture, a solid trunk full of character, "History" and charm in fantastic condition.
