From one of the leading makers of high quality, vintage glassware ... Federal Glass Co. ... founded by George & Robert J Beatty; began production in 1900 ... 1940s and 1950s were producing full lines of kitchenware. Federal Glass closed in 1979-80 - many of their molds went to Indiana Glass Co.

Offered here is a Vintage Federal Glass Co, Opal-White Milk-Glass, Closed D-Handle, Stackable MUG - with Disney's Donald Duck fired-on Graphics - in most-excellent barely-used condition. Probably manufactured in the 1960’s.

ALL glass surfaces are HIGHLY-glossy, shiny, and clean. There are NO obvious chips, cracks nor flea-bites; NO significant scratches, hazing, stains, nor rubs - there is a tiny mark in the glass which could be a mold-mark. The glass has great translucence - nice weight & feel.

This MUG has a closed D-Handlesubtle pedestal base which allows for stacking, and graphics fired on to one side.

The fired-on Graphics Pattern is BRIGHT, Bold, Crisp and CLEAR - depicting Walt Disney Production's Donald Duck. The graphics are highly-glossy, shiny and clean, NO FADE, no obvious issues - with minimal contact marks. The colours used to create the image are BLUE, BLACK and YELLOW. The graphics are coloured-in or left open for the opal-white milk-glass colour to fill the space - body, hands, head, eyes.

The graphics image depicts Donald Duck standing on his two webbed feet; body turned one way, head peering towards the opposite direction; dressed in his sailor's suit - bowed-jacket, ribboned-hat. Beneath the cartoon image is text - "Donald Duck" beneath which is - ""circled C" Walt Disney Productions"

This Mug is embossed on the bottom - "Stylized Shield surrounding "F"" LOGO; U.S.A; 49".

This Mug measures - ~3 1/8" in diameter, across the top edge; 4 1/8" across the top edge to the back of the handle; 3 1/4" in height; the bottom seat-rim is 2 3/4" in diameter.

I use the most economical carriers who operate Monday-Friday – not weekends; not holidays.

All hard-surface items are – well-washed in hot soapy water, rinsed, air-dried, photographed, wrapped in clean paper towel, packed, and placed into clean storage boxes until purchased.

Processing Blankets, Once in Hand -

All Blankets are washed in Wool-Safe Laundry Detergent; dried on warm heat, until dry; photographed from both sides; folded and bagged loosely, then placed into a storage cupboard having cedar shingles throughout the cupboard until sold.

There are videos and web-sites on line which explain how wool items can be re-stretched to their proper shape or size (or closer to) – as shrinkage happens when washed and dried.
