Captured by this pillow, the label’s design approach is illustrated here by a spirited Bandierine print. This cushion is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It's crafted in Italy from durable cotton canvas, generously padded and printed with the sailing-inspired Bandierine motif.

Emilio Pucci, Marquess of Barsento (1914 - 1992) was a Florentine Italian fashion designer and politician. He and his eponymous company are synonymous with geometric prints in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Born into one of Florence’s oldest noble families, Emilio Pucci unexpectedly started his career in fashion by designing a streamlined ski outfit photographed on the slopes of Switzerland for Harper's Bazaar in 1947. Shortly after in 1950, Pucci opened a shop in Capri, La Canzone del Mare. There he explored resort clothing marked by a unique flair of color and the emerging American concept of luxury sportswear.

Over the next decade, Emilio Pucci would establish his eponymous label into a name renowned for its joyful and modern approach to womenswear.

Pucci created his signature sensibility for elegant pieces made from comfortable textiles that expressed fluid shapes and his signature swirling, kaleidoscopic prints. His palazzo pajamas, foulard shirts and wrinkle-free dresses that embraced spontaneity and freedom of movement, a defiant departure from the structured New Look that dominated mid-century fashion.

Dubbed the “The Prince of Prints,” Emilio Pucci drew from the Mediterranean's rich histories, cultures, and natural landscapes, along with his own global exploration. Despite his passing, the Emilio Pucci brand has continued the designer’s outlook through constant dialogue with its vast archive to reimagine Pucci's vision for a contemporary audience.
