Original Vintage 1940s Shirtwaister Dress.

Lovely 1940s slub silk dress. The dress looks to have been dyed at some point. The label shows a sign of dye. Versatiler by Carol Crawford. The dress was originally sold as 40s. However, it could be mid to early 50s

The dress has 2 pockets within the skirt.  The buttons from the waist down are covered under a plaque.  There is a small tear at the bottom button (photo attached),  and the next button-up has come away, although this button is present.

Beautiful little dress, ideal for the summer months. It has been in my collection for a number of years. It needs to be loved by someone else.

There looks to be slight fade to the colour,  but it's not really clear and could just be light.

I can not see any other faults to the dress
