80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade - a separate unit as part of the Airborne Assault Formations of the Ground Forces of the USSR ( until 1990), 
as part of the USSR Airborne Forces (since 1990) and currently a separate unit that is part of the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Based in Lviv.

From May 5 to May 13, 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, brigade took part in the battles in the Kharkov region (Fights for Kharkiv (2022)). 
Near the village of Belogorovka, Luhansk region, 80th brigade was part of the forces which destroyed about 485 Russian soldiers and
about a hundred armored vehicles, including tanks and infantry fighting vehicles that were trying to cross the Seversky Donets river.
