Lledo Days Gone Diecast Model
SP50 - 008A
Bull Nose Morris Van
The Yorkshire Chronicle
Limited Edition - No. 178 of only 500

Jack Odell, one of the founders of the Matchbox diecast company, founded Lledo (Odell backwards) in 1982, and launched the "Days Gone" range of models in 1983, taking over a market previously popularised by the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" series.

The 1926 Bull Nose Morris Van didn't appear as part of the Days Gone range until 1992, but has become a firm favourite with collectors and has appeared in numerous different variants. The promotional market became Lledo's bread and butter, with the Bull Nose Morris also proving a favourite for companies and organisations who would order limited runs of the model with their own livery.

This model was commissioned by the Leeds Model Centre, and was a Limited Edition of just 500 produced in the livery of The Yorkshire Chronicle. This model is No. 178, and it comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Excellent used condition. In original box and complete with Certificate. Box has very minor wear but no serious rips or splits and no taped-up corners. There is a sticker on one end flap, together with some writing on the base of the box, where a previous owner, an avid collector, has recorded details of the model. Model itself is clean and near mint condition. See photos - all photos show actual item.
