An original antique scholastic atlas map published in 1904 illustrating the empires of the Babylonians, Lydians, Medes and Persians. It has been carefully extracted from a dis-bound and no longer usable atlas book of classical maps produced by John Murray of Albemarle Street, London for scholars and students at universities. Would look superb mounted and framed.

Scale 1: 14,400,000

Dimensions: The map measures approximately 440 mm x 350 mm (17" X 14") and folds at the centre.

Condition: Very good for its age, with no significant creasing (other than the centre fold), a little edge wear and some light foxing, although some ageing and wear is inevitable for a map nearly 120 years old. Slight split in the centre fold at the top and bottom of the page that doesn't intrude into the main map area. There is no print on the reverse.

Please note: this is an original antique map extracted from a book and is not a modern copy.
