The book explores the Biblical model of marriage and addresses conflict resolution, defining expectations, creating oneness, building and Christ-centered marriage and more. Jim Sumner works at NewSong Church in San Dimas. His wife, Sarah Sumner, works at the School of Theology, Azusa Pacific University. Ken Otto's "Azusa Pacific University" (Arcadia Publishing, $20) is the newest addition to the Campus History Series. The book follows the university from its founding in 1899 to the present with more than 200 vintage photographs. You'll view and read about its various locations, presidents, famous visitors and more. Chino resident Otto graduated from APU in 1977 and is the institution's special collections librarian and university archivist. He also plays piano professionally and does genealogical research. Not just cute, but informative, "Astronaut Handbook" (Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers, $17) by Meghan McCarthy answers space questions for ages 5-8 (plus many adults). With simple language and bright illustrations it tells readers how to become an astronaut, what they eat, how they go to the bathroom in space and more. McCarthy built a spaceship in her garage at age 6, but didn't make it to Mars. The New York author-illustrator's other works include "The Adventures of Patty and the Big Red Bus" and "Strong Man."
