Description

This is a beautiful vintage Alfred Angelo wedding dress.
tt has a 1920's or possibly a late Edwardian inspiration.
It really reminds me of the wedding dresses in Downton Abbey.
It believe it was made in the late 70s to early 80's, though - it has a IGWU label that dates it to between 1974 - 1995.
Marked a VINTAGE size 14, but possibly smaller compared to modern sizes. Please check the measurements given.
White satin, overlaid with beautiful white floral lace.
The lace is 77% acetate, 22% nylon.
Satin is acetate.
Lace hemline embellishment is 75% rayon, 25% cotton.
The bodice is sheer lace, with an attached camisole-like underpinning, with spaghetti straps and elastic at the upper back.
Lace applique yoke effect, embellished with pearls and clear iridescent sequins.
Long sleeves, puffed at the caps, with wide scalloped lace at the hems, and satin covered buttons/loops.
Covered buttons down the back.
Dropped waist with blouson effect.
Ruched satin inset at hip.
Straight skirt, with elegant lace-edged train.
Fully lined with satin (including the attached cami at bodice.)
This could be the perfect look for a 20's or Downton Abbey-themed wedding. All it needs is the perfect veil or jewelled/pearl beaded bandeau headpiece.
In beautiful vintage condition - no flaws to note.
Clean, sound, and wearable.
From a smoke-free home.
