Here we have an APETITO Servtherm frozen meal cooker or steamer.
Pop your frozen meal on the tray, fill with water measured from the cup, press the button and they're cooked 40 minutes later. Safe and economical.
It was introduced in the early 2000s with a press release that said: "Sales and marketing director Paul Freeston explains: "We offer local authorities our Servtherm steamer. It couldn't be a safer or simpler machine for old people to use. They just put a cup of water in the bottom of the steamer, place the food - still frozen - inside, close the lid and press the button on the top. Forty minutes later the machine turns itself off, a buzzer sounds and the food is safely reheated.""
