I restored the finish with gloss black paint including every screw head needed

These look superb

Circa 1940-1960

These are surface mounted, meaning they lay flat & are screwed in place...nothing complicated, simple to install

MOUNTING TIPS...drill small pilot holes for the screws they will go in much easier & you won’t damage the paint as easily. If you make tiny nicks you can touch them up with a black permanent marker(sharpie brand is great) or of course gloss black spray paint
