Increase RAM to at least 2GB - 6GB installed in this laptop!

Wipe hard drive and perform a clean install of Windows 10 Professional
Load additional Windows updates
Configure desktop, start menu, task bar and explorer
Install and run Lenovo System Update to find all the correct drivers for the laptop
Load Access Connections, Power Manager and Active Protection (HDD shock protection)
Install Fingerprint and Bluetooth drivers (if these are fitted to hardware)
Install Access Help and Help System files
Visual inspection of laptop for damage or flaws - repair or replace any parts as appropriate
Open the laptop and check internal connections
Gently hoover dust from inside especially from fan / heatsink
Completely remove the heatsink assembly. Clean off old paste and refresh with new. Clean rotors and oil spindle. Reinstall the heatsink / fan assembly.
Carefully torque down the heatsink - check CPU core temperatures are well within safe range
Clean the keyboard with a toothbrush and IPA to remove all grease, hairs and fingerprints etc.  
Clean exterior plastics and remove scratches with toothpaste or hob cleaner (yes really!)
Use touch-up pen on larger scratches and "back to black" wax for blemishes
Clean screen with special LCD wipes
Final buff and polish before listing on EBay!

You may be able to find other similar laptops on EBay - but I promise that you will not find another one as nice as this one - it is in very good condition - or one that is configured as well. I urge you to compare the specification and also the software that is actually installed before you decide. I spend many careful hours on each refurbishment and you will be getting a first class refurbished machine that will give you great service and if treated with care and respect will last many years. Here I have a superb "ultra-portable" Thinkpad X220T tablet laptop - running Windows 10 professional with a very fast i7 dual core Intel processor. See the photos and you will see what I mean. These were designed for "on the go" owners, businessmen or scholars or engineers where lightweight was important and hands-free or "no keyboard" operation was desirable. You can see from the photos that yet again this particular laptop has been carefully treated and well maintained - it's in great overall condition! The battery on this particular laptop is an extended type which will give 2 to 3 hours of charge - maybe more. These "tablet" laptops can be used like a conventional laptop or with a twist and a click the screen section can be rotated and folded down over the keyboard which basically turns it into a tablet. There is a special RF stylus which is then used for input. The screen also responds to finger touch which can be useful. The screen rotation button has been configured and also the "auto-rotate" in tablet mode.

This is a lovely clean laptop with the usual excellent build quality. It's perfect for business use, or studying or just browsing the internet, playing music, movies etc. Being ultraportable it is very light and tidy - as such these laptops have no built-in CD / DVD Drive. Expansion capability is provided by the "Ultrabase" accessory (not included) which accepts a range of drive options and allows great port expansion. Alternatively with three built-in USB ports available, a variety of Flash Drives or external CD/DVD Readers or Writers can easily be connected - this laptop has the power to drive them all. The Laptop comes with an AC power supply / charger block.

Note: All of the pictures are of the item itself. My digital camera does not do the laptop much justice at all. If you have a son or daughter returning to university soon (or yourself) then this is perfect - everything a student needs! 

I have cleaned the laptop inside and out and inspected it carefully. Everything works perfectly as it should - the cooling fan has been thoroughly cleaned and new thermal paste has been applied; good cooling is important because there is a lot of power in these small laptops. The i5 dual core is now running at a nice cool 50 degrees! The Windows 10 operating system runs really well on these little laptops and is "feature rich". There is nothing more that can be done to this computer except to turn it on and start to enjoy its great performance. The quality of Thinkpads speaks for itself and spare parts, memory and / or disk upgrades are readily available on EBay. Weighs just 1.5 Kg (!!) including the battery and when released these laptops sold for £2000 upwards (no joke)!

Note: I always make a point of highlighting any problem areas and showing them clearly in the photos. There are some marks on the screen - see photos - but not really noticeable when laptop is on. Everything is present, in good order and working correctly. The keyboard is UK type. I am a qualified electronics engineer recently retired early from working in the electronics manufacturing and test sector and I enjoy diagnosing and fixing these Lenovo laptops. My sideline is refurbishment and I pay great attention to detail. I do not sell on any laptop that I am not totally happy with. If I can make a small profit on each laptop - that allows me to continue with this process and pays for my coffee and bacon baps lol! I am a one man band and do not compete with some of the larger sellers on Ebay - in fact I even buy some of their broken laptops! I like to think I offer a personal service and I am always available to offer advice about laptops, electronics etc.

I have been asked by some buyers about warranty - well hopefully you won't ever need this. These laptops are over six years old and still running well. As a sole trader I cannot really offer a comprehensive warranty it's not possible or realistic. However if the laptop fails within 14 days through no fault of the buyer then of course I will consider repair or replacement. I will always offer a practical solution. If you are unlucky enough to have problems in the future then get in touch because I can often help and my diagnosis and repair rates are significantly cheaper than High Street prices.

I have described this lovely convertible laptop as honestly and completely as possible BUT please remember that it is refurbished and not new - so there will be signs of use consistent with a used laptop. If you demand perfection then please buy a new laptop. My asking price is higher than usual for this particular laptop - due mainly to the cost of a new battery and the fast Intel i7 processor chip.
