Very rarely does one of these appear with the crown decal at the rear.  Only appeared for a short time in 1960 and then disappeared from succeeding variations.  There were 19 known variants until it ended in 1964.  Most of the time ebay dealers carry only the non rear crown decal models.  Deciphering which variant the seller has is challenging.  

I used Christian Falkensteiner's Matchbox website to pinpoint exactly which variant this is.  This is Variant #2.  I won't go into full description except it is a chassis type 1 and a base type 2.

I would label this as a C6 due to the amount of paint chips present.  It presents well and would be a great addition to the serious collector.  Unfortunately, the high asking price reflects the rarity of this model.  Otherwise, I would be asking less than $40.
