Screw hooks may only be fixed with dowels in sufficiently strong frames or ceilings . The hooks used should have a minimum diameter of 6mm / 0.23 in and be wrapped by at least 540°, and the pins should be 10mm / 0.39 in in diameter and 70mm / 2.7 in long. Screw hooks should be attached transversely to the swinging movement of the swing, this will prevent premature wear of the hooks.

Hang the swing in such a way that the minimum spacing is maintained : 60 cm / 26.6 in on the sides, 2 mm / 0.07 in in the longitudinal direction, the minimum clearance between the swing elements and the ground is 35 cm (max 55 cm). The minimum distance between the swing suspension points should be 45 cm / 17.7 in.

Before each use of the swing, an adult (guardian) should carefully check the condition of the pegs, hooks, rings and ropes, as well as the fastening in order to check its strength (e.g. by pressing the swing seat firmly with his hands several times) and clean and grease the rings of the wheels and hooks.
