Debugging and download suggestions:
Perform program debugging (such as single step debugging, breakpoint debugging).
When downloading encryption in bulk, it is recommended to use a USB cable in conjunction with official software for downloading.
When downloading using a USB cable, the following steps need to be taken:
Press and hold the boot0 button;
Press the RST button once;
Release the boot button after 1 second;
The ISP software recognizes the MCU and performs corresponding operations;
Power on again or press reset to execute.
Regarding crystal oscillators and clocks:
The onboard main crystal oscillator is 8M, and the maximum bus frequency of MCU is 144MHz. On board 32.768K crystal oscillator, low speed crystal oscillator.
About SPI and QSPI chips
The onboard EEPROM 24C32 (new version 24C64) is used for small capacity data or parameter storage.
On board SPI Flash W25Q32 (new version W25Q64) for high-capacity data storage
Regarding the onboard network port:
The onboard network port can directly communicate with wired Ethernet, and the chip integrates PHY internally, which has circuit integration advantages compared to external PHY hardware or external integrated network chips.
Download encryption program through USB port (burn write file operation):
Both Type-C USB interfaces on the board can be connected to USB cables for program download and encryption operations. The software name for downloading is WCHISPTool, which can be obtained from the official website or opened in the programming software MounRiver.

Download and encryption steps:
1. Connect Type-cUSB (any USB port) cable to the computer.
2. Open the WCHISPTool software and configure the corresponding options (such as whether to encrypt the downloaded file or not).
3. Hold down the boot0 button, press RST once while holding down boot0, and finally release the boot0 button.
4. The software will automatically identify the device that needs to be downloaded.
5. Click on download to complete the download and encryption.
Programming and debugging:
Due to the fact that the MCU kernel is RISC-V, this situation determines that the ecosystem of ARM kernel cannot be used. For example, IDE development programs such as keil MDK cannot be used. Fortunately, the chip can use a development IDE similar to KEIL MDK: MounRiver, which also supports Chinese.
Debugger:
Due to the fact that the MCU core is RISC-V, the ARM microcontroller's debugger can no longer be used. Fortunately, there is a cheaper and more convenient dedicated debugger, the WCH debugger, which can switch modes and serve as a DAP for the ARM microcontroller-
The CMSIS debugger can be used for debugging, and it can also switch to another mode for debugging the CH32V series microcontroller. This debugger can perform single step and breakpoint debugging in MounRiver.
