This is an English sterling silver fish serving fork, made in Sheffield by the silversmiths Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall in 1870. It weighs 101 grams and measures 9 3/4" long. It is beautifully balanced and pleasure to use. The fork shows some signs of wear, consistent with regular use. Please see the photos for details.

This fork was purchased by my father in the 1950s, when he regularly visited the London silver vaults.
