These leather door pull handles are designed as a replacement for the red metal pull lever on the inside of the Jayco J-POD's. It serves as a durable alternative, as the original Red metal lever that has been known to break off at times.

Material: The handle is made from heavy-duty leather, ensuring its longevity and resistance to wear and tear.

• Installation: The handle comes with 316 Grade Stainless steel hardware, which is robust and corrosion-resistant, ensuring secure attachment to the door.
• Compatibility: The handle is specifically designed as a replacement for the red metal pull lever found on the inside of Jayco Jpod's.
• Easy Installation: The leather door pull handle is designed for easy installation, requiring only basic tools that are commonly found in households. It is a simple 5-minute job, making it convenient for J-POD owners to replace the broken red metal pull lever.
• Required Tools: To install the leather door pull handle, all that's needed is a Philips head screwdriver and a Metric 4mm or Imperial 5/32" Allen key. These tools are standard and easy to obtain, ensuring that users can quickly complete the installation without any special equipment.

Fitting Instructions:

1) Open the rear door and remove the old red lever by unscrewing it counter-clockwise.

2) There are 4x Phillips head screws on the inside door latch mechanism holding the inner assembly to the outer assembly. If all 4 screws are loosened at the same time, it will affect the adjustment of the door closing/opening latch position, so it's best to keep 2 of the screws loosened and 2 of the screws tightened at any one time during the fitting process.

3) Loosen and remove the 2x rear-facing screws. (This helps for the next step and allows for the threaded piece on the new leather handle enough room to screw in.)

4) Screw in the new leather replacement door pull handle by hand to get the thread started, being careful to keep the thread straight and perpendicular to the latch mechanism so as not to "cross-thread" any of the components.

5) Tighten the Allen key bolt with a 4mm or 5/32” Allen key.

6) With the rear 2x screws that were removed in step 3, fit a spring washer and a flat washer, then reinstall them to the door mechanism and tighten securely.

7) Loosen, then remove the 2x front-facing screws on the inside door latch mechanism.

8) Fit a spring washer and a flat washer to each of the screws and place the supplied leather guide piece under each of the front screws. Then refit the leather guide piece and screws back onto the door latch mechanism and tighten securely.

9) Test the leather pull handle by pulling it back (or up if you are inside with the door closed) and it should spring back smoothly into position.

NOTE: The metal piece securing the handle is threaded through the leather for a secure connection. A unique design choice allows the metal piece to move freely within the leather, enhancing flexibility and providing a smooth, comfortable operation of the door release.
