Hans Holmér(1930-2002):
Was the Chief of the Swedish Security Service (SÄPO) and later Chief Commissioner (länspolismästare) of Stockholm County.
He became well known as Chief of the special investigation unit into the assassination of the Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme.
After the murderer of Palme, Hans Holmér personally took charge of the investigations without any real experience in investigating homicides. He also assumed that the murder was of a political nature.
So instead of mapping Stockholm's known criminals that were in the same area as Palme when he was killed.
He proposed to look for assassins within certain immigrant groups living in Sweden that fitted better with his conspiracy theories.
