Each handle is operated separately to control the hot and cold water supplies and adjust the water temperature. The hot and cold water supplies are combined inside the spout to provide water for handwashing and other tasks. Also called paddle handles, wristblade handles can be operated with the wrist. Because they do not need to be gripped to push or pull the handle, wristblade handles can be used by some individuals with disabilities.
