DESCRIPTION:  State of Texas Sesquicentennial 1836-1986 Celebration Belt Buckle 24k Gold Plated.  This is the Official Licensed Buckle by THE TEXAS 1986 SESQUICENTENNIAL COMMISSION.

FRONT OF BELT  BUCKLE :  The Front of the Buckle is 24K Gold Plated and has a bright silver circle with TEXAS laminated in White, Blue and Red enamel colors.  Under the laminated in White, Blue and Red Texas is “SESQUICENTENNIAL” in gold.   The bright silver circle has “STATE OF TEXAS SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION 1836 – 1986” engraved-stamped in black.

BACK OF BELT  BUCKLE :  The back of the Buckle has “OFFICAL COMMEMORATIVE BUCKLE”, “NO. 7752”, “LICENSED BY THE TEXAS 1986 SESQUICENTENNIAL COMMISSION”, “c1986”, followed by the trade mark “TL&B”, “TEXOMA LEATHER & BRASS”, “P.O. BOX 26”, “DENSION, TEXAS 75020”, “214-786-6131” and “24 KT GOLD PLATE”.  The Back of the Buckle has a Silver Tone finish.  The Buckle will accept  a 1 & ½” belt (1.5 inches).  The opening for the belt is 1 & 7/8”.  These buckle were seral numbered.  This Buckle Serial Number is:  7752.

MEASUREMENT OF BELT  BUCKLE :  The Buckle is oval shaped, measuring approximately 3.5 inches (3 ½”) width by 2.5 inches (2 ½”) height.  Weights approximately 3.7 oz. 

CONDITION:  Excellent condition.  This Buckle has never been worn or installed on a belt.  It has only been in a glass display case with numerous other Texas memorability, such as Texas Ranger Badges, Texas Ranger Bowie Knives, and other Texas Belt Buckles.

       manufactured by Haltom but not Hallmarked. “SERGEANT” is hand-                          

       chased. Comes in original Haltom jewelry box.

17.  TEXAS & SOUTHWESTERN CATTLE RAISERS ASS. SPECIAL

       RANGER Badge.  Hallmarked “SIMMANG”.  The particular style was called

       the Daisy Pattern.

18.  TEXAS & SOUTHWESTERN CATTLE RAISERS ASS. SPECIAL

       RANGER Badge. Flat not doomed for carrying in a credential case. Has

       “SPECIAL” across the Star.Die stuck and sawed out by hand, hard-fired

       Blue enameling. Made by Simmang of San Antonio, Texas.

       No Hallmarks.

19.  TEXAS & SOUTHWESTERN CATTLE RAISERS ASS. SPECIAL

        RANGER Badge.  Doomed without “SPECIAL”. Hard-fired blue                                     

        Enameling. Very rare as DWA has only seen 3 of these badges.

20.   MISSOURI – KANSAS – TEXAS RAILWAY CO. TEXAS

        RANGER “Bottlecap” Badge.  There is a long description of this

        Badge by DWA wherein DWA states that even though the Badge

        is not Hallmarked it “bears several qualities which lead me to believe

        that it was made by NELSON-SILVIA CO. of Houston”. Included

        is the book “THE KATY RAILROAD AND THE Last Frontier” by V.V.

        Masterson.  Also included a canceled 100 Shares of the Missouri,

        Kansas and Texas Railway Company dated March 5, 1909.

21.   Clint Peoples “Sr. Captain” 24K Gold Plated 1947-48 Cinco Peso

        Badge by Haltom of Ft. Worth, Texas and Hallmarked “HALTOM”.

        Comes with original letter signed by Clint Peoples verifying that this

        Is his badge.  The letter is written on U. S. Marshall letterhead and

        Dated March 3, 1982. Includes autographed book by Clint Peoples

        and autographed picture.
