Wonderful necklace with gorgeous individually blown glass beads from the magical isle of Murano. Generations master craftsmen and women have worked their magic and passed down their skills.

The beads are round in the main looking like sweets with the translucent pink glass internally decorated with swirls of white. There is a larger round accent bead as well as two elegant elongated oval ones. The beads are individually knotted on toning pink thread and are encased in lacy protective caps. The necklace fastens with a lovely brass milk churn screw clasp.

App 19.75" long which is such a fantastic length. The largest round bead is app 15 mm in diameter and the oval ones are app 27 mm. The beads are in lovely glossy condition. Most of the filigree caps have verdigris probably due to storage as the necklace does not look as though it has even been worn.

Beautiful vintage artisan work and such a gorgeous rare colour!

A bit about me : i worked for many years in the Antiques Trade specialising first in antique clothing and Textiles and then i specialised in Art Deco and Art Nouveau, generally glass and sculpture and metal ware. i stood at many of the top fairs eg Olympia, Claridges, The Dorchester, The NEC and bought and sold in Sothebys, Christies and Bonhams. i appeared on TV a few times as an Expert, served on Vetting Committees and so on. i gave up the Material World for a number of years whilst i concentrated on Meditation, Healing and other Spiritual endeavours but am now selling on Ebay to pay the rent :-) i really do love the pieces that pass through my hands and i enjoy 'meeting' people across the globe and feel good making them feel good. i try to follow the Reiki precepts ~ one of which is 'To earn an honest living'.
