This is a rare November 5th, 1917 program (playbill) with an attached ticket stub from the Post-Broadway Tour of the Winter Garden's Spectacular Extravaganza "THE SHOW OF WONDERS" at the Shubert Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The Original Broadway production opened October 26th, 1916 at New York's Winter Garden Theatre and closed April 21st, 1917 after 209 performances.) ..... The musical revue starred MARILYNN MILLER, GEORGE W. MONROE and WILLIE and EUGENE HOWARD and the cast included EDMUND MULCAHY, ADELE ARDSLEY, VIRGINIA SMITH, PATSY O'HEARN, ARTHUR DAVIS, SIDNEY PHILLIPS, DAN QUINLAN, LOUIS ALTER, EARNEST HARE, MYRTLE VICTORINE, IRENE ZOLAR, TOM LEWIS, SAM WHITE and LEW CLAYTON, HARRY WILCOX, ALEXIS KOSLOFF (of the Imperial Russian Ballet), A. DETAILS: The 48 page program measures 5 1/4" X 7 7/8" inches and includes beautiful cover graphics, full production credits, cast list, scenes, list of musical numbers and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos or bios. Includes a ticket stub from the November 9th, 1917 evening performance glued to the front cover ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There are surface abrasions, soiling and a small amount of paper loss at the bottom edge of the back cover and last two inside pages (shown in the last two scanned images). Despite these flaws, this rare program will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
