* Barley straw is the perfect way of controlling blanket weed and algae.

* Four individual bales are included in each pack and each bale treats around 2250 litres of pond water (495 gallons)

* These bales are designed to float on the surface of your pond and are held together in a mesh bag to make removing later easy

* Barley straw is an environmentally friendly way of combating algae. Once the barley straw is wet and starts to decompose, a natural process starts whereby chemicals are released into the water that stunt the growth of algae.

* It can take 2-6 weeks before you will see any results and please note this may be longer in the winter months compared to the summer.

* We recommend that you replace the barley straw bales every 3 months once they have started to deactivate
