1929 US Gold $2.50 Indian Head Quarter Eagle
Certified PCGS MS62
US Gold $2.50 Indian Quarter Eagle represents a departure from all precedents in United
States coinage. Its design features no raised edge, and the main devices and
legends are in sunken relief below the surface of the coin. They were minted
from 1908 - 1929 and survived the Gold Reserve Act of 1934 which outlawed
private ownership of gold in the United States.
